it takes talent to do something like this...

It's not my favorite song or anything near it. Not my style. I will concede however the tremendous amount of talent/effort it takes to orchestrate something of this caliber and genre.

Ninjkabat responds:

Thanks. I find that a cappella takes more luck than talent to pull off, as so many of my song-making projects end up getting scrapped because they inherently sound like crap. But this was one of the ones that sounded decent, and so I'm glad you thought it successful despite the fact that it's not your normal style of music.

yes

Another piece that doesn't suck. This is good. So so very good. Actually - I'll go out of my way and say that I could use this as a reference piece to test out new gear (monitors, amps, whatever). Fantastic. FREAKING FANTASTIC!!!!

MAKE IT LONGER GOSH-DARNIT!!!

and please contact whoever is going to make the next kick-butt hollywood movie and have them enlist you to compose for it and make tons of money.

now do you people see??

This is short. It's tiny. It's hardly a "clip". But the potential here outweighs so much other crap being touted as "UTTERLY AWESOME" around this site that it makes me sick. This little tiny thing is worth it's salt. It's needs to become a full song.

Thank you BlazingDragon for not just flipping pretending what you have made kicks ass and actually creating something that means something. There are many people here (and I'll include myself) that have a LONG LONG ways to go that think what they've put out into the world is God's gift to man. At least you don't have to put up such pretense. Thank you.

BlazingDragon responds:

If that's the case, than I've done something right; if there is one thing I can't stand in the world, it is pride. People who go around bragging, raising themselves up to a seemingly godly status get on my nerves more than anyone else.

I don't write music because I want to be famous, or rich, or any such thing. (And I don't know I could even if I did desire to) I write music to express emotions that cannot otherwise be communicated. More powerful than words, art, or any other medium, music has an incredible way of delivering raw emotion in its purest form. I write music to share that.

Thank you for the review. It gives me hope and inspiration. I greatly appreciate it.

what?

So here we have another top ten. Another top ten piece that makes absolutely zero sense why it should be here. Do you think for one second you could play this on the radio without getting crucified by your audience? I know a 9 year old who has put together more impressive pieces than this (he is a genius though). I know it's a demo. I know it's short. But NG top 10 material should be stuff you could hear on the popular station or whatever else on the radio and not suspect you were listening anything but a professional producer.

This - this is not that. The rest of you hand out your little 9's and 10's like they are candy. And it means nothing.

there is yet some substance

It shows a very low amount of effort. But it doesn't need or deserve to be labeled as inept. It's just a no-frill minimalistic song that really doesn't go anywhere. I'm sure you could do much better however.

flawless

funny as hell to see 66 reviews with an average score of 10/10....holy crap dude. This is amazing. Saying you did a good job would be like saying absolute zero is cold.

reminds of paul oakenfold...

great. honestly amazing work. The production is classy and smooth. Very very refined techno/trance... kinda like the stuff I'm used to hearing at reasonstation.net (some absolutely INCREDIBLE artists there...)

cool stuff

this is actually a really fun song...glad I peeped through some of the fav'd songs of someone who fav'd mine...

the rhythm is spot on. love it. good work again.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Meh, everyone is entitled to speak their minds.
Glad you like it, dude.
