awesome

Couldn't help but smile. Nice work! Utterly enjoyable.

wow, and the it just gets crazy good @1:20...frick yeah. Downloaded.

Stage3-1 responds:

Thank you.

the intro is epic

Seriously, amazing. So grand and lovely sounding...

You should really look reworking simply that intro part into something different and keeping in the same vein.

Scribbler responds:

I agree with you, actually.

LOL Rig, you rock the house. This is really dope

Freakin' seal of approval on this sucka' if I ever felt to do such a thing. Brilliant. So downloading this and it's almost completely unheard of for me to do that.

This is a piece of work man. Kick-awesome. Just awesome. No advice that I could give here. Too busy enjoying it honestly.

egad...this is fun...I don't even know how you do it

Rig responds:

Haha, thanks! I'm re-writing it for the upcoming NGAP EP, be sure to pick up a copy!

obviously fantastic

The real question...is why is voicemale on, NG...?? Of all places. Seems odd, the group has a huge presence in the mormon community anyway and their cd's can be found everywhere in LDS bookstores...etc.

Anyway - I can't help but wonder if this is just for publicity - because (obviously) it trounces the median level of production to be found here normally. It doesn't really compute in a sense. Of course good work anyway. Fantastic as many of the previous works are. I have a good deal of your guys' cds, each new one is better than the last. It's clear you've been honing skill over the years.

spidy1217 responds:

HA! i think you've got us totally confused with someone else. we're voicemale from brandeis university, a bunch of nerdy jewish college guys, definitely not mormon. But I'm glad you like!

very enjoyable...liked this

It was somewhat minimalistic at the beginning - wasn't quite sure what to think of the supporting chords at :45 and building...but they are also nice sounding. Maybe clashing a little bit to my ears.

The breakdown at 1:50 was pretty cool - and sounding like it was going into a completely different song (which it seemed to do). The beat that kicks in after that is way way too grating. I think there is a lot of potential here - the arps are actually really enjoyable! I liked that stuff quite a bit. Just needs to be properly eq'd and then integrated a little better into the rest of the song.

Neat stuff though. There's plenty of character here in the piece that I did enjoy quite a bit.

DavidRx responds:

i was trying to make a slow but catchy start...but it turned out to be to long rly :S
and not catchy at all

the chords hmm..mabye i shudent have added em...to much mabye :S

but im still improving mate :)
im trying to improve in all the ways i can...the eq is 1 part thut im still in
''wtf moment'' xD

all my songs r a bit like of ''experiments'' i try to improve n try out everything...but some of em i upload em here so i can have some help and opinions..thx dude ^^

ima b sure to check ure stuff out too man... =P

DrX

this is good

There's not a whole lot of decent amateur rap out there that doesn't sound really corny and just not clever or timed well.

This is HUGE HUGE exception to that. This is an excellent (if short) and incredibly well written and poignant example of well-thought out and aptly engineered rhyme paired with a catchy beat and instrumental...

Listening to it again, I am stuck how on occasion these gems do actually show in their proper spot on newgrounds instead of the normal multi-tracked drivel that graces the front page of the audio portal normally.

The only thing I think is funny is you used the word "refute" in reference to what the character could do in the case of his own "sh*t talking". It doesn't exactly make sense in this context as the word refute means to figuratively dismantle (as in to refute someone else's statement), and why would the character want to sabotage his own argument? Anyway - there's a more appropriate word choice there that I can't suggest at right now.

BigRed responds:

Well written review, thanks for taking the time!

Think about the similar phrase "He wouldn't fight because he couldn't fight back." The downfall of my sentence is the pronoun "it", as what "it" refers to is ambiguous. It's tricky writing with rhyme and rythm without losing clarity, and I did lose a bit there. I'm working on it though, expect better next time! :D Thanks again!

Impressive...

Uber-professional. You certainly have a knack for this. The flow and pace of the song is just excellent...I would have preferred some really kickin drums at about 3:30 to really drive the song forward and build up the energy - but the way it sits is still fine and why I'm not giving this a 10. Some obviously very complicated and probably modular fx arrangements to achieve the huge ambiance in the song.

Reminds of a much more relaxed BT.

Helth responds:

BT?

Thanks :)

too much compression for my tastes....

A mite bright and edgy but everyone has their own style. The composition itself in terms of progression and overall synth timbre is excellent. There is a good deal of ambiance that seems to be gasping for breath as it's buried so heavily beneath a layer of thick compression.

So not a big fan of that area of production. But then this is an honest review, so I figure why not? Again - excellent use of instrumentation and atmosphere but it's just overwhelmed in the end by heavy pumping compression that forced me to turn the volume down a few notches. It's pretty typical trance though in the end.

F-777 responds:

Thanks for the review!!
Ya that bass in the end i made but i suck at mastering
sounds i make probably cause i make em weird...

Anyways thanks =). I might remaster this one
in the future so it doesnt feel drowned out and
heavy.

Thanks for the review!

nice

beautiful stuff. Extraordinary production and content here. No complaints or critiques. You guys appear to be real virtuosos at this stuff...

Metaljonus responds:

Thx!

evil dog strikes again....

Evil-Dog responds:
