Why did this get front page?

AnimatriumStudio responds:

Because I'm awesome.

I wasn't sure at first, but it ended up being pretty seriously hilarious. I was dying when he shot him at the end. lol wow

Kieran-s responds:

I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope you are no longer dying.
-thanks!

lol at the instant rave

Ok, so this was definitely not really polished at all, but that was still pretty dang funny overall. I approve.

WooleyWorld responds:

Less shoe-shine, more spit-shine.

touching...

That was fantastic. Music worked perfectly with the emotion of the story. Art was good and the message was perfect. Very heartfelt and effective. Well done.

Diives responds:

Wow, I can't believe that the compositer of poltergifts is comment my animation, and told me that the music I put on it is working perfectly! Is a honor :)

I laughed, I cried, I sat rapt with attention...

Emotionally captivating and spiritually enthralling. The blubber motion makes a screen unlike anything I've seen since Antonio Banderas starred in that one famous movie too long ago.

The epic struggle between good and evil has never been so well presented. The coke (symbolizing the devil) struggles within the grasp of a being so well poised to continue walking along a 2-dimensional path that it seems the true battle may well only exist within out own minds. Then the flash reminds us via the ever-so subtle passing background tree that we too are intrinsically frail and could never hope to rise above the mundaneness of a sun with a smiley face and it's tongue hanging out unless we have the power of the sidewalk to assist us in our journey.

I had to dock 2 points off the overall score due to the fact that the cola drink had a straw in it while obviously being a red can container, which would naturally not require a straw. Also, the tiny umbrella was frumpy. But on the whole I think you showed an extraordinary amount of potential. The music worked well to support the animation in general.

Rucklo responds:

it took like 5 years of the fine art of movie-studies at the university to get where i am today. his flash shows off everything i've learned, and a little more... i'm glad you could notice most of what i tried to communicate with this artwork. god bless you!

LOL!!!

that was hilarious!! Holy crap that was funny.
"my life is nothing, goodbye world".

wow - deadpan like nobody's business. That was fabulous...

liked it very much.

imakethebestmusic responds:

Heehee. Im glad you liked it!

something else...

I put this on and I heard one of my songs playing I was like "what? where's that coming from?" and then I looked over to the left and saw my name and it made sense. Funny video. It's just, er - that end part. Hmmm... No comment.

SardonicSamurai responds:

Ya, your song seemed to fit perfectly with the Dollars mood. I do agree, the ending was fucked up. Especially when they finish. Even when I was animating it, I was thinking, "What's wrong with me?"

Very nice song though, it's in my favorites :D

simply mediocre

Especially in comparison to some of the really competitive, graphically intense and emotionally charged flashed that can be found here on the site - this one doesn't strike any fancy of mine in particular whatsoever. The voice acting isn't painful but is by no means a strong point - the graphics and scanty "animated" sequences are hardly what I consider a flash "movie" - and there was an absence of any really well timed jokes. I can't say that it seemed like a whole lot of inspiration or work went into this besides the very minimum effort needed to attain a basic concept and develop it through the most uninteresting devices possible.

This isn't to say that it's an absolutely horrid movie - which it isn't. It just doesn't really deserve a front page spot.

EmDubya responds:

Thanks for the comments.

um...

a slug IS a bullet. it's not slang:

"slug 1 Audio Help (sl%u016Dg) Pronunciation Key
n.

1. A round bullet larger than buckshot."

great little number though

BMack24 responds:

-noun 1. any of various snaillike terrestrial gastropods having no shell or only a rudimentary one, feeding on plants and a pest of leafy garden crops.

that's the REAL definition. end of discussion.
